Passenger Train over the Congaree

A very rare train move brought a lot of color to the Midlands of South Carolina today in the way of this Amtrak train with nothing but privately owned passenger cars. The train was heading north after a convention in Jacksonville this past week. This train was coming from the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners Convention enroute back to Washington, DC.

 

The former C&O car (the yellow and blue one above) is the Chapel Hill. An interesting history of it can be found here --
