Estcourt Station

    Estcourt Station, Maine is basically a half-dozen houses and a gas station that lies on the other side of the international boundary line from Pohénégamook, Quebec. It's cut off from the rest of Maine by miles of empty woods. The only way to this American gas station is through Canada. In fact, I took the photo while standing in Canada. Well, I think I was - the border isn't marked very clearly.

    Gas is a lot cheaper in the US than in Canada, hence the gas station did good business. That is until an unfortunate man got himself arrested for trying to fill up. Read about the whole ridiculous situation here:
