Moxie | by Joe Shlabotnik

Moxie can only be found in northern New England and only if you look hard enough. I sometimes stock up when I go to Maine. It tastes like a cross between cola and root beer, with a strange almost metallic aftertaste that is probably the reason it has remained a local niche soda for over a century. I imagine that hundreds of local sodas tasted something like this back in the 1800s, and of those only Moxie somehow survived.
