Rotten Pumpkins

    Newer Older

The pumpkins we carved didn't come close to making it all the way to Halloween. The unseasonably warm weather we've been having this October didn't help. On some level, rotten moldy fly-eaten pumpkins have a macabre Halloweeny feel. But on another level, we didn't want that on our front stoops. So into the trash they went.

Sorry Peter. We had the same experience. Sarah left them in the window, in the sun, and they pretty much liquified. Halloween pumpkins require much cooler climate.

Maybe we can carve more pumpkins for Thanksgiving.

I was going to leave the pumpkins in the window too, but it was Michele's idea to put them outside so they last longer. So much for that idea...
