HIghland Mall is the oldest indoor shopping mall in Austin, Texas, but its days are numbered. All of the major stores are now gone, large chunks of the building are vacant and the whole place has been purchased by Austin Community College for a future campus. I decided to go take a look at what's left. After taking these photos, I was not-so-nicely escorted out of the building by a pack of overzealous security guys, had my car license plate photographed and was followed more than a mile from the store by a security truck. Yes, they can eject you from a mall, but it's legal to take photos and to do with them what you like within reason. Here are mine.
