Storm Overhead

    Newer Older

Over looking Lemon Valley and Stead which are suburbs of Reno. I went to the top of a hill to get some photos of the sunset when a large storm blew in overhead. As I was taking this photo a very large lightning bolt hit about 50 feet from me. Well needless to say I got my ass back to my truck fast. It started raining so hard I had a hard time seeing the road. We had a 8 hour power outage so I couldn't download the photo till the next morning. The neighbors were out and about late into the evening it was so hot and muggy no one could sleep.

      Hello Joe ,
I lived in lemon valley in 72-75 and the skies like this i had forgotten about but this sure does bring back beautiful memories. Especially from the direction of our home you could see pevine mountain and actually watch the storms cross the valleys . Some times when it was soo hot we would pray that the rain would just fall on us !!

Post more if you have them that would be nice , Thanks
