Light Your Way Home

Newer Older

Model is the exceptionally handsome and talented Cameron Sarradet

The idea behind this photo is inspired by a story I read about a man whose wife had gone missing and he lit a candle in his window every night so that she would be able to find her way home. I wanted to use this beautiful old window in a photo during the meetup and I knew that Cameron was the perfect choice to be in the photo. In perfect timing, one of the barn cats came and sat right in the frame and I had to keep it.

I have so many photos to edit and post, I'll probably be taking a bit of a break in my 365 project but still be posting everyday!

what a beautiful concept. the candle light looks so beautiful in all the darkness, lighting just enough. The colors look amazing. I have a window like this, just haven't gotten around to using it yet, it makes a great prop doesn't it?

I really, really adore the colours here.. the soft dreamy, pale purple and pink in the background really lend to the dream-like, sad and painful beauty of the story being told. Where the candles are placed and how they light up the picture is just magic.
