These are my sprouts. For the last....few years at least, I've been growing my own sprouts every few weeks. It's so easy, and my god are they delicious in a salad or on a sandwhich or even just by the forkfull. Better yet, they're organic and it doesn't get more locally grown than your own kitchen!
Essentially all you need are the seeds (I get mine at a health food store), a jar (mine is a pickle jar), some cheesecloth or wire mesh (to drain the water without losing the sprouts). All you do is put water in the jar with the seeds, swish it around and drain it. Then let the jar sit at a downwards angle into a dish and let the water drain. Do this twice a day until your sprouts have...well...sprouted!
