Waterford at night

Waterford city's Christmas lights were turned on yesterday, there is also a giant Carousel erected in the city centre. This was a BIG hit amongst yound and old last year, and will no doubt brighten up the city after all the redundancies and jobs that have folded over the past year, lots of shops, and restaurants have also closed in Waterford during this recession time.

Just as I was taking this picture, four youths were shouting around the street, one of them caught up a traffic bollard and threw it at Penneys new store, to be opened on Monday 30th November. He continued up the street and took a phone out of a kiosk and smashed the phone several times until it was uselsss, then walked away. He continued to kick doors of shops that were closed and he then tried to climb up a cherry picker and tried to start the engine. At this point I took a few more pictures and called it a day. If I had to take a picture of him, I probably would not have my camera now.
