      Thanks!
Anyone who reads this should also check out the Tilley that David DeGrand (above) did, it's damn genius.

This is really great! Is it color pencil? I think it needs a few FIG. 1 notes like a medical anatomy book!

I love it- They should use it for the exhibit!

A belated illustration for _The Anatomy of Dandyism_ by Jules Amédée Barbey? (Check out an article on dandyism: www.answers.com/topic/dandy )

"Eustace Tilley as The Visible Man," to me, also touches on the Victorian/Edwardian eras when it seems people were taken with a sort of dark, morbid ('gothic') fasination with anatomy, science, the macabre (not that people have changed in any way).

Well done. I think this one should be in the winner's circle. Good luck.

Willikers! Thanks for all the nice comments folks, it's great to read, especially coming from fellow artists and competitors for this competition.

mazhuk: Nice observation, I see what you're saying. Big fan of your entry!

mm007: I am a big supporter of morbid beauty, glad you like it

LA©KO: I'm not one to tell tales out of school about my own process, but I will tell you there's no colored pencil. Just a secret family recipe combining a 2H pencil and technology. . . .

peterjamesemmerich: although I'm sure it's clear to many, I'm relieved to read into the idea someone knows of this illustrations South Seaport origins.

xadrian: succinct and flattering; thanks a ton!

monkeysox : THANKS! if you're anything like me, I'm dying to know who's in said circle. Saturday at 9am marks the 48th hour.....!

can't believe this didn't make it, one of my personal faves. makes the real 'bodies' ads that much easier to take.

This is one of my favs, too. Wanted to see it make it to the circle.
