66.365 - Fascinating Fingers

    Newer Older

We've got this really cool double deck organ keyboard in the music room. Has this really old-timey feel. This is basically sooc.

It really does look like it was straight out of the 80's.

I wish I knew how to play this thing. Gotta settle for a picture of it. Anyone ever play one of these bad boys?

"Fascinating Fingers" is inscribed next to the volume slider.

Is this a melloton? Owl City is cool! But John Lennon's playing of it in Strawberry Fields rocked!

I've never actually seen an organ played in real life, only in movies.

Wow, I can almost hear the theme music from "Napoleon Dynamite" whirring in the background.

I had an electric organ I used mess around on in my teens, but nothing as elaborate or colourful as this.

I have two organs. I hate to admit that I can play it still. I think I am the only who enjoys it. Well I guess that is all that matters, right? ;-) ;-)
I love this shot. One of the organs I have was given to me as a gift from a church I used to volunteer at ( their school). It looks something like the one you photographed. :)

I prefer the second shot, it is a fab object, I love the way these instruments can play themselves, we've got a more modern looking thing that does an amazing demo play

Now I am bummed that I never took a picture of the antique one my dad used to have, complete with the foot pedals that you could play like a big foot piano. It used to belong to Charlie Chaplan. This does bring back memories. :)
