Lonely in San Marco's Hall

    Newer Older

    On Black

The Italy pictures continue! Whoo, been busy!

Just inside the arches of the Piazza front, an impressively clean floor magically reflects the soft paper lights along the halls.

I was actually going to wait until the woman there was out of the frame. But when I looked through the viewfinder, she made the scene.

Three shots. One too early. One too late. This is the one in between.

Piazza San Marco, Venice Italy 2009

Wonderful lighting & details~ The golden color & lone presence adds to the atmosphere.

Always good to take two shots. One with the human element, and the one without. Very cool :)

I see you are using D5000,
can recommend me other lens that work great on the camera?

Thank you all so very much for your favorites and comments! I very much appreciate it! ^_^

My favorites for the D5K are Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 for all around. For cheap and light telephoto, the Nikkor 55-200mm VR. Really sharp, newest Nikkor AF Prime: 35mm f/1.8G (this pic), and of course the fan favorite Sigma 50mm f/1.4 HSM - But I don't own that last one.

All those lenses will Autofocus and balance nicely on the compact D5000! ^_^
