Tucson Downtown Planet [Explored]

Tucson, Pima County, AZ Aug 21, 2010 — I shot multiple exposures then converted four images to tiffs using Lightroom. I used Photomatrix to tone-map the HDR image. I spruced-up the image using Topaz plug-ins, and touched-up the image using Photoshop.

These creations go by many names. Tiny Planet, Polar Coordinate, Small Planet, Polar Panorama and several others. The bottom line is the photo is distorted with the polar coordinate filter found in Adobe Photoshop. There are other programs, but that's how I've been doing it. The process couldn't be easier, but there is a bit of finesse involved.
