Shooting conditions on Monday morning, July 26, 2010, were almost perfect. Great sky, colors, amd a mist rising from the humidity in the air. My intention was to shoot HDR on a farm across the street from the Bielenberg Sports Center in Woodbury, MN, but I could not help but take some pictures of the sunrise and the resulting rising mist on the soccer fields.

I liked the way everything seemed to be moving away from the sun, including the fence and field lights! The clouds looked to be air brushed into the sky - they were absolutely beautiful!

Shot with an aperture of f7, 1/400 shutter, and an ISO of 100. Edited initially in Adobe Camera RAW, then finished in Photoshop Elements.

Nuts! Looks like a bunch of aliens are about to materialize out of thin air.

Huge unreal cool light and atmosphere on such a ubiquitous and mundane scene.

      I am losing my mind...
