Stranger 94/100 - Kyle

Sunday's inaugural DC Tweed Ride brought out such a cast of characters and wonderful people making it a photographer's paradise. Kyle was one such person.

And in a sea of potential portrait subjects on a day like this, Kyle stood out amongst the crowd after I overheard him talking about why this day, and this event was so special and important even.

So in keeping with my attempt to record a Top 10 (something) from each of my final ten subjects I think these excerpts from our own conversation about what this day meant to him certainly fit the bill:

"I support the organization."

"I support anything where people are encouraged to express the best part of themselves."

"It's a return to the really great individual elegance in...high sartorial self esteem."

"It's joyful."

"It's exciting."

"It's a great way to let go of another week...

And a great way to start a week off."

"You see people pulling together in a different way and it gives you a sense of excitement for how people respond to taking care of other people."

"There's something brewing underneath with people here and this is part of the creative super volcano waiting to explode...This is the first shot. The first breakthrough of creative magma."

"...and I dress this way anyway."
