    Fainá - Bread made from chickpea flour, water, olive oil, salt and pepper. In Buenos Aires, many people put this on top of their pizza to make a pizza sandwich.

    Fugazza - A foccacia-like pizza popular in South America. It has a soft airy crust and is topped with sweet cooked onions and herbs instead of tomato sauce or cheese.

    Some places make both of these with cheese so be sure to ask before ordering.

      Yum! How were the flavours? I had a slice similar to the Fugazza in Milan. Funny how much pizza is cheeseless in Italy - it's not a rare find!

      It tasted great! We made a point of walking to a far away location so we could work up an apatite and really enjoy it. Fugazza is definitely for onion lovers! Blog post coming soon :)
