The Red Door
This handsome old Lutheran Church is just across from the Madison, Wisconsin Capitol building. Not sure what drew my attention more - the old brick and stone facade, the handsome spire, or the red door, but there were all complemented by the sultry summer sky. It was about 80% humidity with swarms of gnats and mosquitoes buzzing around, probably typical summer weather in the midwest.
The original image had pretty severe distortion because I was just across the street from the church, so I tried to transform it a bit in Photoshop; it's not perfect, but definitely not as odd as before (see the before image below)
