Orchids Of Finca Dracula

*"Stelis are the most common pleurothallid orchid, but many of them require a low power field microscope to see the tiny column and anther cap - the two things that typically define an orchid as an orchid. Click on the stelis tag I added to see more on Flickr." - quoted from Eric of SF

This was photographed in the western highlands of Panama at a major orchid repository by the name of Finca Dracula; they specialize in the Dracula orchid species; they house over 2,200 of over 6,000 distinct species of orchids identified, so far; and then another over 20,000 hybrids; I'm lucky to live just down the road; I end up taking folks that are visiting the highlands by this place as it is an amazing place to experience; a "Garden of Eden" of sorts

Here's their website address: (;~)>
