    Thanks! I was torn between photographing the sculpture against the wonderfully complementary golden background or to take it from an angle that showed the nearby doorway for a sense of scale. It is large enough to be a coffin for a real person. I ended up taking it from both angles, but only posted this version, because it seems more impressive to me to see it standing alone.

I did not know anything about Ghana's unusually creative coffins, until I saw this exhibit, and now they will be even more widely appreciated. Thanks also for introducing me to your interesting travelogue site. I love living in a remarkable city like Washington, DC, but also love to travel to other interesting locations and cultures, even if vicariously!
