Moogerah Milky Way

Newer Older

Took this one on Friday night, went camping at Lake Moogerah for the weekend. It was nice and clear on Friday night, but the clouds came on Saturday night, so didn't get another chance at star shots. Will definately be heading back sometime, hopefully after I have acquired a wider lens :)

Taken with Pentax K200D and Pentax SMC DA 18-55 AL II lens @ 18mm. This is a single shot taken using Bulb mode, at ISO 1600 with Long Exposure noise reduction turned on in the camera.

The stars at top left have moved a bit, but those closer to the celestial pole have not. The tents are our camp site!
