Marginalia in Eliot's 1809 Biographical Dictionary
This book is an early American biographical dictionary that was annotated by two different hands. I am trying to identify these two people.
One person wrote in colonial handwriting with a pen. The other person wrote in modern-day handwriting in pencil. HIs initials are J.T. P. (see image 257, the first image after the title.
The edges of the book were ploughed when the book was rebound sometime in the 1800s with loss of marginalia. I will research and supply the missing marginalia where possible.
