Hale Street Skywalk

This photo was a long time coming. I posted it Saturday at noon time after shooting it thirteen hours earlier. The upload time was backdated to represent when it was shot on my calendar. The photos were taken over the course of an hour under a waxing gibbous moon. I didn't expect the path of the moon to come into the frame so there had to be some editing to reduce the merged white line of the moon and I ended up using a single exposure of it.

I had a lot of issues with the editing on this photo. The major problem was that, unbeknownst to me, the lens or camera shifted slightly halfway though the set of exposures so when I merged the star trails and then went back to adjust the building, things didn't line up. The total editing time, including writing to disk (3.2 GB) took around 6-7 hours.

This photo is comprised of 24 exposures ranging from thirty seconds to four minutes. All exposures were f/8, ISO 100. No automatic HDR was used but the star trails were merged using statistics.
