Gloucester Post Office

A grand Post Office built on the site of the Rudhall Bell Foundry. The blue plaque reads: "This famous company of bell founders relocated here from Westgate Stret in 1727. Between 1684 and 1848 the foundry produced over 5000 bells for churches throughout Britain and the new world. The oldest peal of bells in America at Christ Church, Boston were ast here in 1774."
