sunset, May 2

I told K. last week that some day I would just up and drive out of the city to see a sunset. Home alone on Wednesday with 40 minutes to sundown, I hopped in the car and headed west to this stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway west of Winnipeg, looking to find the flattest patch of bald-ass prairie I could find. But the sun doesn't move slowly this time of day, and with these bands of clouds about to block the show I didn't have much time for composition.

Taken w. tripod and Sigma zoom lens, cropped in Photoshop. And if you know what I can do about the noise in shots like this, I'm all ears.
