      This spring, the castle turret on the right in this pic fell into Lake Superior.

      Back in 1900 there was an even more significant collapse at Grand Portal Point. There used to be a huge arch formation there (hence the name "Portal") "large enough for a good sized steamer to enter into" but it collapsed into the lake.
