Austin City Limits: The Moody Theater
So I hear on the morning commute that Meat Loaf is playing in Austin. I thought I would love to see that concert but my focus on my work ahead of me threw that out of my brain. After a long day I arrived at home and I decide to look where and when and how much for the concert. As soon as I heard it was going to be Austin City Limits it pretty much locked the deal. I went alone, but it is right down town, basically minutes from my house. This venue is AMAZING! Like the gal on the phone said "there is no bad seat"! I didn't know this was where the Willie Nelson statue had been recently dedicated too! The whole experience was perfect! The nicest couple from San Antonio sat next to me and they told me great stories about Texas concerts they had been to. I was so pleased that Nakia (from "The Voice") sang first and he totally rocked the house! They were perfect! And then came Meat Loaf, and well, what can I say! I didn't know he's originally from Dallas and that he just moved to Austin a month ago! Lucky Austin!!! (He put on a black cowboy hat for his last number!*) It just seemed like another bit of great Austin history in the making.
