10 Chicago 2009
(The picture on the left is Impressionism from The Art Institute of Chicago, on the right is some winter shrubbery in their garden, that, I manipulated to match colors in the painting...)
Dave and I decided we were over due for a trip into Chicago.
He had wanted me to see The Christmas lights on State Street during the holidays. I had wanted to go to China Town (A co-worker told me her husband LOVES an orange cake that he gets down there! So much so he buys extras and freezes them!!!) And I had also walked by the Art Institute one too many times and had not yet been inside!!! I LOVE Museums!*
(I was getting sick but I figured a GREAT trip would at least fill my spirit! It DID!*)
My largest goal in China Town was to find GOOD dim sum! We did! A Shop keeper reccomended The Phoenix! YUM!*
I found out that ice skating is FREE in Grant Park if you bring your skates!!! (I need to find some good, cheap, used skates!!!)
And the Holiday windows on State Street were beautiful and colorful!* :)
