Collegium Nowodvorianum

Established in 1364, it is the oldest university in Poland, the second oldest university in Central Europe, and one of the oldest universities in the world.

Among the university's treats is the oldest surviving globe to depict the Americas. In 1492 Nicolas Copernicus began his studies at the Jagiellonian, developing his own theories about which way the world spins.
