oh! The things we find while cleaning house!
Yep. It's THAT TREE. Again. My second post this week, sort of. (The other post was an update on an old photo - check it out - it's cool news.) A short while ago I was frantically looking for one of my 120 slides - a killer shot of this same tree. I couldn't find my original scan of it on my old computer (way to organize, moron!) and so I needed a new scan. I digress.
While sorting negatives and slides, I found a partial roll of the famous maple, and several frames I'd never paid any attention to. This would have been taken fall 2009, with my Nikon F5, and my old Nikkor 24-120, and it was on Fuji Velvia 50.
I don't mind how underexposed the lower left corner is. It could have used a hit of fill, but there weren't a lot of leaves down on the moss, so no big loss. Besides, today the silhouette look is working for me.
And yes, I found the other slide I was looking for. Right where it should have been, as it turned out.
