Mosaic Tree Sample Block

For my month in Bee Unique Bee Knotty I am asking my fellow bee members to make mosaic trees inspired by the Mosaic Tree Block made by Rachel of the Stitched in Color blog.

I am providing each of my bee members with a 14.5" square of white and a piece of brown wood-grain fabric (from Joel Dewberry's Aviary 2 line.) I am asking them to use their own scraps for the top of the tree and to make a tree that is personal -- either out of their favourite fabrics or in their favourite colour(s.)

This is my sample block. I used a rainbow colour scheme as that is something that I am currently in love with. I used tiny scraps that I've saved but that are too small to actually sew with.

I am IN LOVE with this block and super excited about what my bee members are going to make -- they are all incredibly talented. Thanks to Rachel for the awesome inspiration!
