Trip Around the World Quilt

    Newer Older

Today I took photos of a vintage quilt that has been handed down through my family. I just love the beautiful fabrics and piecing. So many tiny squares! It's hand-pieced and hand-quilted.

It was made by my Grandmother's cousin, we think sometime in the 1930s or 1940s.

It's stunning! And I think your family's so lucky to have this piece of treasure! Which generation made this, do you know? :D

I'm not totally sure actually! My Mom thinks that one of her older cousins made it, so maybe sometime in the 1940s-1950s? :)

One of the prettiest Trip Around the Worlds I've ever seen. And it's in such great shape, well done.

A fantastic family piece. This pattern can be a disaster if you aren't good with colors. Obviously the quilter had a good eye!
