      I don't think I ever got up to that gaping hole ... I must've been out of time or out of sturdy floors.

      They must have taken some equipment out in the past, and since it was not going to be reopened, they just went out the wall. There is another gaping hole on the front side, near the middle top.

      What do you suppose in in that long section that sticks out the right? That was the area above the large rail area.

      The area above the rail area had low ceilings and not great footing, as I recall. I think I recall something like a conveyor system.

      It's hard to remember what was where an hour later, let alone seven months later, because this place is such a maze!

      That would probably mean it was a system of conveyors to take coal to the waiting cars. Except, when I was under that area, there were no chutes through the ceiling as I remember.

      You'd need a week to properly explore this place.
