Cold War Era Shelter Sign - Back

This cold war era shelter sign has been attached to this post for more than 35 years. That's how long I've been working in the area it's in. How old it actually is I don't know. What I find interesting is that cold war era signs usually indicate "Fallout Shelter", not just "Shelter", so it may date back even further. I'm glad after all these years I finally took a picture of it before it vanishes one day or a car takes out the pole.

What's even better is there are two of them! One on each side of the pole in different states of decomposition.

I'll call this the back side, the side that faces away from the street. This is also the shadow side of the sign, so water and dew would not burn off as quickly, and it's in a more advanced state of rust.

The front and back signs are independent matching signs attached to opposite sides of the post.
