Old Forge Road, between Tumbling Run shelters to the north and Antietam shelter to the south. I maintained the TR shelters after they were built in '89.

Thanks for IDing the location I wasn't sure. We spent the night at TR Shelter last week, it was about 35* F....cold but I was impressed with how well maintained they were. I've always been suspicious of shelters after finding a few infested with mice in Virginia. Thanks for looking after these, and maintaining them so well.

The thanks to whomever is maintaining them now. I haven't since like 1992. I haven't even been up there for several years... I really need to get out, though. The PATC North Chapter is/was pretty active. At the time I was in it, we had from PA/MD line to Pine Grove Furnace. That stretch of the AT is pretty popular, esp from PM Park to Caledonia. I was stationed at Fort Ritchie (USA, MP), now closed, and lived nearby. I also maintained a 2.7 mile stretch a bit further north, from the pipeline near Snowy Mtn fire tower, to RT 233.
