The World Junior Freestyle Climbing Championships (Girls U-5 Section).

In the sport of freestyle climbing it's important to start them off as young as possible.

 

Although she soon fell attempting to climb over the cornice - a photo I prefer not to show for compassionate reasons - Maisie's efforts were nevertheless warmly applauded by the enthusiastic crowd of spectators. Betting on the events, although strictly speaking discouraged, did seem to add an extra interest to proceedings, particularly for the fathers.

 

Many thanks go to the wonderful St Johns Ambulance Brigaders, whose tireless voluntary work helped make this event possible.
