$15 Dollar Macro Light Studio

On a grey and dreary day in North Texas, I decided to use the link below and construct an inexpensive macro light studio. Mine cost under $15, as follows:

16x16 box = free (scavenged from my garage)

One White poster sheet = 49 cents

Two gooseneck lamps from Walmart = $6 each

Tracing paper for the sides = $2

It works surprisingly well at diffusing the light and creating a pleasant macro lighting environment with a decent background.

Here's the link that shows you how you can build your own:

I'm using a tripod with a longer exposure at a smaller aperture to get good detail and depth of image. The wattage on the two lamps is a 40 watt bulb in each.
