A Road to the Fire

Newer Older

This is a high dynamic range image consisting of three blended handheld shots I took using autobracketing while visiting northern Oklahoma a few weeks ago.

This prairie fire was incredible to see because of the billowing smoke clouds on a relatively windless day. Luckily, damage was minimal although at the time it looked like this might be a devastating event. As you can imagine, I took several shots from this perspective since I thought the road created a nice visual lead to the smoke.....

I personally think this is better when viewed at the larger size:

MAN, this is AMAZING work! What programe are you using to blend your auto bracketed shots? I have been using GIMP, but my results are not as good. Have a great night!

Such drama! I love the beauty in the deep saturation of colors! The road looks rain soaked yet drenched in light from the fire..(or the setting sun) nice work!
