Croppy Flop

This was taken the other night and I consider it to be an outtake simply because of the crop. Actually, I did no cropping on this image as it is the way it came out on the cam. I cannot seem to master the art of self portraits with my 50mm. Getting it to focus on my eyes rather than on my nose has proven to be rather difficult for me. This image actually focused fairly well but I was too far over in the frame; was hoping more for a half 'n' half shot. As you can see, it didn't quite make it.

The post processing is purely experimental and the it must be said; the more I use Color Efex Pro, the more I love it.

I put this up because, well because if you have any pointers, I'd be happy to hear. I just don't know what more to do in order to improve the focusing on my face with the 50mm when the cam is sitting on a tripod. Help? Please?

Maybe my nose is too big; sticks out too far? ;p
