Mi trasmette una sensazione cupa e negativa! Bella foto cmq.

      Technically, very nice, James.

However I was always told to always think about the light source and how it illuminates the whole scene. There seems a fashion in making skys very dark in photographs (either by filters or photoshop or HDR or whatever) which usually makes the whole thing come out wrong (for me, IMHO, etc, etc) which possibly just shows what an old fuddy-duddy I am and how I should never have listened to anyone else, but .. maybe I am an OFD!

In this case, it seems you want it to look like the sea is luminescent and lighting up the sky. If so, the foreground and some other parts of the sea where there is no foam should be almost black.

      Just a suggestion :)

In terms of technique, I'm not a pureist. I imagine what I want to see in my minds eye and make it in PS afterwards. In this case the sky was darkened a bit, but the sea was really quite green in colour and reflects what the scene was actually like.
Some people have the opinion that a photo MUST be exactly like it was shot, but I'm not one of them. In this case the sky was very grey and boring with just a hint of contrast and a little colour from the setting sun, I just helped it along to make a more intesting shot.

No problem.. these things are all very personal anyway!

Great shot. Might have wanted to see a little more "pop" in the sky however.

I love this very moody and atmospheric effect.
