Pattaya Beach

This photo was taken from the North end of the beach. The beach is a relatively narrow strip of sand, maybe 30 feet wide or so at high tide. It becomes much wider during low tides, but the beach ambiance quickly disappears as the edge of the ocean moves out, leaving stagnant pools of water, exposed mud and rocks. As the farang (foreigners) move out, the locals with metal detectors move in, looking for loose change.
