It was Thursday and I was looking at the forecast – Friday = ‘sunny’, Saturday = ‘sunny’. Excited to finally have a camera again (even if it was only for the weekend) and thinking about the many conversations Damien and I have had recently about shooting the milky way I decided it was ON!
Damien’s as crazy as me and so the two of us planned to leave Sydney at 11:30pm and drive to Forrester’s Beach on the central coast. As we were leaving the city the clouds looked to be rolling in – I don’t know if it was blind determination or the mother energy drinks we were both downing but we decided to push on – and lucky we did!!
By the time we arrived at Forrester’s there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and it was time to shoot our first Milky Way. Still so much to learn and so much to improve on but being back out with the camera on an abandoned beach with this amazing Milky Way shining in front us was more then inspiring.
The only way to describe the night was – I can’t wait to do it again!
