Suspended In Time

    Newer Older

Woo-hoo! My last photo of my 365 year in photos project. :) It was a good year. I will continue my photo-a-day project!

A drop of water seems suspended above the surface. Light and shadow frame the droplet as its final moment before impact is documented.

FABULOUS!!! What a stunning ending to a year of mind blowingly beautiful images!!! I am over the moon to see it got Explored as so many would benefit from following your amazing stream which has had a continually high standard! Glad to hear you're doing another 365!!!

Nice work! It's hard to catch water looking the way it feels. Please consider adding this to Top 20 Water

This is incredible, just out of interest, how many attempts did it take you to do this because when I do what drops I end up with about 100 shitty images and 2 good ones :L

Yup.. that's about the ratio. :) This is from a dripping faucet so it wasn't hard to just keep hitting the shutter at a consistent pace.

oh right, i normally use a syringe which is very difficult to get in time with the shutter, especially if your doing it on your own :L

A syringe is a good idea. I used an eye dropper for my previous water droplet shot from several years ago:

Yeah I thought so, I only really started doing them a couple of months ago, so there is plenty of time to get better
