JAXPORT's three cargo terminals can handle every type of general and project cargo. From bulk to containers to vehicles to breakbulk, JAXPORT handled 8,128,013 tons in Fiscal Year 2011. This tonnage included a record number of containers – 900,433 TEUs – as well as 520,142 vehicles. Jacksonville now ranks among the top container ports in the United States and is one of the country's busiest vehicle handling ports.


Raw materials such as lumber, rolls of paper, woodpulp, pallets of boxed chicken and steel are considered breakbulk cargoes.
