I have no picture while I was making it but fairly simple.

      1. The bowl was transparent so I sanded the outside then painted with some white gloss I had around the house, probably better to use a spray paint. I then put black duck/gaffer tape on the outside to protect paint and also stop light spilling out.

      2. Draw around your flash head then using a craft knife make flash head sized hole, then once again with duck/gaffer tape attach some plastic cards, like loyalty card to all fours sides of opening. These flaps can then be attached to flash head with rubber band.

      3. Then line the cd case lid with foil and try to make a small hill in the middle this will help spread the light evenly around the bowl. Or if you want to do it properly then get a convex mirror from somewhere like a car parts store.

      4. Then attach the CD case lid to the front of the dish, best way would be to use long bolts attached to the base of the bowl, but I didnt have any long bolts so just taped to the top using more duck/gaffer tape, to minimise it effect I folded it against itself so line are not apparent.

The final product its fairly sturdy, but would be very sturdy if you used bolts like I suggested before.

Have seen others who made these out of Wok lids.

The quality of light from mine seems good to me but the actually modifier not all that professional.

Here is someone else's effort that looks load better than mine, will make myself a better one once a find another larger dish.
