Pixy Stix 5-cent pack display box - Late 60's Early 70's

    Newer Older

Here's a great shelf display box for 5-cent packs of Pixy Stix. I love the colors and the mascot on this one. It's a real classic piece of candy packaging - and one I'm thrilled to share.

Although this was obtained in the 1970's it seems clear it was a piece produced and put on shelves in the 1960's.

This comes from the "Munktiki Collection", a large lot of consumer goods packaging saved and stored by Californian Paul Nielsen during the 1970's. A collection I recently acquired and will be documenting here.

For more on Paul's current activities, check out www.munktiki.com.

Now these were a HUGE part of my childhood. Nothing like pouring a tube of flavored sugar down a kid. What an awesome item

I remember this packaging! I loved the candy, and love seeing the old packaging I remember instead of the new computer generated graphics they have on the product now.
