Taco John's matchook cover - early 1970s

Taco John's is a fast food franchise restaurant that I remember from the mid-1970's in my hometown of Columbus Nebraska. And though they've rebuilt, they're still in the exact same location as they were way back then.

Thing is, our Taco John's had this great sign when I was a kid that featured the Taco John's "devil" mascot, which I think they corporately got rid of around 1974. He was basically this devil in a sombrero. And he was awesome. Sadly, I've not been able to find any images of the Taco John's devil mascot anywhere.

The version of Taco John's seen on this mascot is the version of the building that would have featured said mascot, but it's just a matchbook, so no devil-guy, sadly.

But someday I'll track the devil down!
