National Gallery, London - September 2004

    Newer Older

The National gallery and St Martin in the Fields in the glow of an evening sun. The National Gallery is an incredible collection of art, and the best thing is it is free to enter. And St Martin's often has organ recitals, or full choral concerts.

Just to my right, as I took this picture, is the tourist hub of London, Trafalgar Square.

Thanks for the comment bangok diary, that means a lot, I have been enjoying your photography recently.

The only way I could have framed St Martins better was by standing in the road outside the National Gallery. Not an option really!

Very good photo, I like the warm tones the sunset left on the buildings.

Wow, great light on both buildings.
The National Gallery is fantastic but there's almost too much to see.
I remember my last visit when a young guy nearly vomited on a da Vinci. *örks*

Seen in your England set. (?)

That IS beautiful and the buildings are absolutely stunning. I love the attention to detail and the care and love the people who made these buildings gave them. I wish you would have brought out the blues some more, that would only have added to the contrast between sky and building.
