Helmcken Falls in Wells Gray Park

This is a whole river, the Murtle River spews as much as 25,000 cubic feet of water per second through a gap less than 75 feet wide, falling over a 463 foot (141 metre) high basaltic lava cliff. This is the fourth highest waterfall in Canada as measured by uninterrupted plunge height, almost three times the height of Niagara Falls. That secondary fall way down in the canyon is the height of a five-storey building!
