This week is my school’s fall break, so I figured I should make the
most of it. I traveled to Boise, Idaho today with my wife to see our
families and shoot some new stuff. Because I’m a fool a
photographer, I made my wife get up at 3am so we could leave by 3:30
and be up at Lake Tahoe before the sun came up.
I nearly fell asleep about 8 times, but got at/near Sand Harbor around 6. I parked down the way and hiked in, climbing, jumping and stumbling over boulders trying to find the comp I wanted.
This is one that I chose, and there will be a couple more to follow. This shot is actually a “pano” but barely. It’s two shots, both horizontal, and just used to make sure I got the whole rock island from tip to tip (it was just a hair too wide for my 16mm even on the 5D).
I’m considering this a “working copy” as I have some more I want to do with it, but I’m antsy to upload as it’s been a bit since I’ve thrown anything up! More soon, from all over Southern Idaho hopefully. Cheers, and happy shooting. –jared r.
