Snowy Owl (immature)
Cape Spear; December 7, 2013
Patience and a little strategy paid off when, after watching the habits of this owl for a few minutes, I positioned myself down in the sheltered rocks between two perches I had seen it use. After a short wait, it flew in and landed quite close to me. I didn't have to move a muscle or encroach on it at all. In fact, I had to remove the teleconverter I had been expecting to use! Beauty of a bird.
